Khas Restoration

The landmarks in Hauz Khas standout amongst the most beautiful destinations in Delhi. Built around

a reservoir it has a madrasa which is amazingly constructed. If we look a bit closely we can see the way its constructed, even though at that time there were no architects to guide, the fort still has an amazing ventilation system as well as a well built drainage system. The Hauz Khas complex is in a great mess these days due to no protection work being greatly.

 The complex is littered with stone chips, heaps of concrete & a lot of dug up earth. As we spoke to its care takers they said that they were trying there level best to conserve this heritage, well i hope  that this is wrapped up soon so one can really appreciate the landscape. The tank was initially built by Alauddin Khalji for his capital city, Siri. When Firuz Shah Tughluq accepted throne, he started to renovate the infrastructure, he rebuilding & repair the existing landmarks and building. From a very long time this gigantic monument has not been restored properly and there has been no significant improvement done. At many places the walls have almost chipped out and cracked .many cells as we see are
now closed and because people can't reach those places they instead think of littering it. These cells

now look like big dustbins, but the pietist things is that  Many dark areas of the monument are turned into urinals, alas! Not knowing that this place one was a college for religious learnings and many people prayed there. 

This beautiful monument is turned into nuisance and nothing has been really done to preserve it. At Least nothing till now.
